Type of ceramic cutting tools The development of ceramic tool materials concentrates on improving the properties of traditional tool ceramic materials, refining grains, compounding, adopting coating, improving sintering process and developing new products, so as to obtain high temperature resistance, wear resistance and break edge performance, and can adapt to the demand of high speed precision machining.

The ceramic tool materials are generally divided into alumina series, silicon nitride and boron nitride (cubic boron nitride tool) three major categories. Alumina-based ceramics: carbide-ceramic with Ni, Co, W, etc. as bonded metal, can improve the bonding strength of alumina and carbide. It has good abrasion resistance and heat resistance.
and its high temperature chemical stability, not easily with iron elements prior to the diffusion or chemical reaction, so the most widely used alumina ceramics: such as steel, cast iron and its alloy high speed cutting process, but not suitable for processing of aluminum alloy, titanium alloy and tantalum alloy, otherwise easy to produce chemical wear. Silicon Nitride ceramic cutting tool: A kind of ceramic which is made by adding the proper amount of metal carbide and metal in the silicon nitride matrix and using the compound hardening effect.
Suitable for fine car, semi-precision mill or half finish milling.
Boron nitride Ceramics: high hardness, wear resistance, heat resistance, good thermal stability, with good thermal conductivity, low friction coefficient, linear expansion coefficient is small. Development trend of ceramic blade materials
